Auction result well in line with expectations
In August this year Bonhams in Sydney held the auction Important Australian Art, which included the work A Thousand Feet Per Second, 2000 by Jason Benjamin. It changed hands for a price of AUD 11,070.00 (€ 6,605.85) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of AUD 8,000.00 – 12,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Jason Benjamin - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work No Borders, No Fences, which sold at auction in August 2004 for AUD 38,240.00 (€ 22,194.45).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im August diesen Jahres führte Bonhams in Sydney die Auktion Important Australian Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit A Thousand Feet Per Second, 2000 von Jason Benjamin zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von AUD 11.070,00 (€ 6.605,85) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von AUD 8.000,00 – 12.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Jason Benjamin mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit No Borders, No Fences beobachtet, die im August 2004 für AUD 38.240,00 (€ 22.194,45) versteigert wurde.
