Upper estimated price slightly exceeded

Here, the upper estimate of GBP 3,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for GBP 3,226.50 (€ 4,802.00). Admittedly, works by Jay Boyd Kirkman have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Hurdle Race, Newbury in December 2019 with an auction result of GBP 28,750.00 (€ 33,979.14).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Die Arbeit Horse on lead rein von Jay Boyd Kirkman wurde im Juni 2004 in der Auktion Sporting Art and Dogs bei Christies in London versteigert. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von GBP 3.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für GBP 3.226,50 (€ 4.802,00) einen neuen Besitzer. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Jay Boyd Kirkman auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Hurdle Race, Newbury im Dezember 2019 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 28.750,00 (€ 33.979,14).
