Auction result well in line with expectations
In January last year Sothebys in New York held the auction The European Art Sale Part I, which included the work La Vachère de Ribagnac by Jean Baptiste Camille Corot. The price achieved of USD 94,500.00 (€ 84,284.69) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 80,000.00 – 120,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Jean Baptiste Camille Corot achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Venise, vue du Quai des Esclavons in May 2018 with an auction result of USD 9,009,844.00 (€ 7,720,517.57).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Januar letzten Jahres führte Sothebys in New York die Auktion The European Art Sale Part I durch, in der auch die Arbeit La Vachère de Ribagnac von Jean Baptiste Camille Corot zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 94.500,00 (€ 84.284,69) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 80.000,00 – 120.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Jean Baptiste Camille Corot erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Venise, vue du Quai des Esclavons im Mai 2018 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 9.009.844,00 (€ 7.720.517,57).
