Admittedly, works by Jean-Baptiste Greuze have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work The Hermit, Or The Distributor Of Rosaries in February 2013 with an auction result of USD 1,082,500.00 (€ 827,662.67).
