Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
The work Danaë by Jean-Baptiste Regnault was sold in the Revolution auction at Christies in New York in April 2016. Here, the upper estimate of USD 50,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for USD 56,250.00 (€ 49,165.28). Admittedly, works by Jean-Baptiste Regnault have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Venus And Adonis in January 2015 with an auction result of USD 293,000.00 (€ 259,521.70).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Die Arbeit Danaë von Jean-Baptiste Regnault wurde im April 2016 in der Auktion Revolution bei Christies in New York versteigert. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von USD 50.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für USD 56.250,00 (€ 49.165,28) einen neuen Besitzer. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Jean-Baptiste Regnault auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Venus And Adonis im Januar 2015 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 293.000,00 (€ 259.521,70).
