Auction result misses estimated price range
When this work without title by Jean-Charles Blais was auctioned at Bukowski in Stockholm in October 2021, the result was somewhat disappointing. The auction house had previously given the estimated price as a range of SEK 50,000.00 – 70,000.00, of which not even the lower limit was reached - in fact, the artwork changed hands for SEK 40,000.00 (€ 4,027.01). Admittedly, works by Jean-Charles Blais have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Loin vite in May this year with an auction result of EUR 35,280.00.
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Als diese Arbeit ohne Titel von Jean-Charles Blais im Oktober 2021 bei Bukowski in Stockholm versteigert wurde, fiel das Ergebnis ein wenig enttäuschend aus. Das Auktionshaus hatte den Schätzpreis zuvor mit einer Spanne von SEK 50.000,00 – 70.000,00 angegeben, von der nicht einmal die Untergrenze erreicht wurde - tatsächlich wechselte das Kunstwerk für SEK 40.000,00 (€ 4.027,01) den Besitzer. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Jean-Charles Blais auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Loin vite im Mai diesen Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 35.280,00.
