Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Le lac au clair de lune by Jean Delville was auctioned at Christies in London in December 2018. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 12,000.00 – 18,000.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 12,500.00 (€ 13,926.11) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Jean Delville achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Orphée Aux Enfers in May 2019 with an auction result of USD 162,500.00 (€ 145,752.98).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Le lac au clair de lune von Jean Delville kam im Dezember 2018 bei Christies in London zur Auktion. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von GBP 12.000,00 – 18.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von GBP 12.500,00 (€ 13.926,11) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Jean Delville erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Orphée Aux Enfers im Mai 2019 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 162.500,00 (€ 145.752,98).
