Upper estimated price slightly exceeded

It achieved a price of GBP 838,200.00 (€ 953,614.40), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 20%. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Jean Dubuffet achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Paris Polka in May 2015 with an auction result of USD 24,805,000.00 (€ 22,562,306.71).

Die Arbeit Site aléatoire avec 3 personnages von Jean Dubuffet kam im März diesen Jahres bei Phillips in London zur Auktion. Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von GBP 838.200,00 (€ 953.614,40) und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 20%. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Jean Dubuffet erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Paris Polka im Mai 2015 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 24.805.000,00 (€ 22.562.306,71).
