Auction result well in line with expectations
In June 2020 Sothebys in Paris held the auction Important Design, which included the work Low Table Table Basse by Jean Dunand. It changed hands for a price of EUR 187,500.00 achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of EUR 150,000.00 – 200,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Jean Dunand - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work 'Marabou Storks' Four Panel Screen, which sold at auction in May 2012 for GBP 301,250.00 (€ 375,344.25).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Juni 2020 führte Sothebys in Paris die Auktion Important Design durch, in der auch die Arbeit Low Table Table Basse von Jean Dunand zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von EUR 187.500,00 den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von EUR 150.000,00 – 200.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Jean Dunand mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit 'Marabou Storks' Four Panel Screen beobachtet, die im Mai 2012 für GBP 301.250,00 (€ 375.344,25) versteigert wurde.
