Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Arnold Constable by Jean Dupas was auctioned at Christies in London in November 2010. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 2,500.00 – 3,500.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 2,750.00 (€ 3,286.25) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Jean Dupas achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work 'L'Enlèvement D'Europe', 1928, Paire De Tableaux Dans Leurs Cadres D'Origine Dessinés Par L'Artiste in May 2014 with an auction result of EUR 217,500.00.
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Arnold Constable von Jean Dupas kam im November 2010 bei Christies in London zur Auktion. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von GBP 2.500,00 – 3.500,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von GBP 2.750,00 (€ 3.286,25) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Jean Dupas erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit 'L'Enlèvement D'Europe', 1928, Paire De Tableaux Dans Leurs Cadres D'Origine Dessinés Par L'Artiste im Mai 2014 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 217.500,00.
