Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Jean-Etienne Liotard could be acquired at Christies in London in January 2021 for an unexpectedly low price. In the Old Master Prints auction, the work The small Self-Portrait changed hands for GBP 2,500.00 (€ 2,827.15) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of GBP 3,000.00 – 4,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Jean-Etienne Liotard achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work A Dutch Girl At Breakfast in July 2016 with an auction result of GBP 4,405,000.00 (€ 5,234,092.94).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Dieses Kunstwerk von Jean-Etienne Liotard konnte im Januar 2021 bei Christies in London für einen unerwartet niedrigen Preis ersteigert werden. In der Auktion Old Master Prints wechselte die Arbeit The small Self-Portrait für GBP 2.500,00 (€ 2.827,15) den Besitzer – und verfehlte damit das untere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 3.000,00 – 4.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Jean-Etienne Liotard erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit A Dutch Girl At Breakfast im Juli 2016 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 4.405.000,00 (€ 5.234.092,94).
