Auction result well in line with expectations
The work A drover and his cattle in a pastoral landscape by Jean François Xavier Roffiaen was auctioned at Christies in London in April 2001. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 1,000.00 – 1,500.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 1,057.50 (€ 1,704.82) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Jean François Xavier Roffiaen - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Mount Rosa, which sold at auction in October 2003 for USD 5,377.50 (€ 4,632.18).

Die Arbeit A drover and his cattle in a pastoral landscape von Jean François Xavier Roffiaen kam im April 2001 bei Christies in London zur Auktion. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von GBP 1.000,00 – 1.500,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von GBP 1.057,50 (€ 1.704,82) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen.
