Auction result well in line with expectations
In December 2015 Artcurial held the auction Orientalism, which included the work La Guedra - 1974 by Jean Gaston Mantel. The price achieved of EUR 7,150.00 was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as EUR 6,000.00 – 8,000.00. Admittedly, works by Jean Gaston Mantel have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Fantasia, 1968 in December 2009 with an auction result of EUR 60,450.00.
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Dezember 2015 führte Artcurial die Auktion Orientalism durch, in der auch die Arbeit La Guedra - 1974 von Jean Gaston Mantel zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von EUR 7.150,00 lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit EUR 6.000,00 – 8.000,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Jean Gaston Mantel auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Fantasia, 1968 im Dezember 2009 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 60.450,00.
