In March 2009 Artcurial in Paris held the auction Old Master and 19th Century Drawings, which included the work La Nativité by Jean-Jacques-François Le Barbier. The »bidding war« ended at EUR 1,275.00 42% above the upper estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Jean-Jacques-François Le Barbier achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work La Magnanimite de Lycurgue (The Magnanimity of Lycurgus) in October 2021 with an auction result of USD 1,050,000.00 (€ 908,933.52).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 42 % übertroffen
Im März 2009 führte Artcurial in Paris die Auktion Old Master and 19th Century Drawings durch, in der auch die Arbeit La Nativité von Jean-Jacques-François Le Barbier zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von EUR 1.275,00 und damit 42% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Jean-Jacques-François Le Barbier erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit La Magnanimite de Lycurgue (The Magnanimity of Lycurgus) im Oktober 2021 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 1.050.000,00 (€ 908.933,52).
