This artwork by Jean Tinguely achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in Paris in September last year. In the Un regard sur le monde : Collection Comte & Comtesse Jean-Jacques de Flers auction, the work Isidor sold for EUR 163,800.00 - well above the upper estimate of EUR 90,000.00. Admittedly, works by Jean Tinguely have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Métamatic No. 7 in July 2008 with an auction result of GBP 1,049,250.00 (€ 1,333,083.94).

Dieses Kunstwerk von Jean Tinguely erzielte im September letzten Jahres bei Christies in Paris einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Un regard sur le monde : Collection Comte & Comtesse Jean-Jacques de Flers wurde die Arbeit Isidor für EUR 163.800,00 versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von EUR 90.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Jean Tinguely auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Métamatic No. 7 im Juli 2008 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 1.049.250,00 (€ 1.333.083,94).
