Auction result misses estimated price range
When the work Mother And Child by Jesús Guerrero Galván was auctioned at Sothebys in New York in November 2007, the result was somewhat disappointing. The auction house had previously given the estimated price as a range of USD 20,000.00 – 25,000.00, of which not even the lower limit was reached - in fact, the artwork changed hands for USD 18,750.00 (€ 12,765.52). Admittedly, works by Jesús Guerrero Galván have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work La Concepción in November 2007 with an auction result of USD 181,000.00 (€ 123,229.85).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Als die Arbeit Mother And Child von Jesús Guerrero Galván im November 2007 bei Sothebys in New York versteigert wurde, fiel das Ergebnis ein wenig enttäuschend aus. Das Auktionshaus hatte den Schätzpreis zuvor mit einer Spanne von USD 20.000,00 – 25.000,00 angegeben, von der nicht einmal die Untergrenze erreicht wurde - tatsächlich wechselte das Kunstwerk für USD 18.750,00 (€ 12.765,52) den Besitzer. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Jesús Guerrero Galván auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit La Concepción im November 2007 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 181.000,00 (€ 123.229,85).
