Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Five-character Calligraphic Couplet in Oracle Bone Script by Jian Jinglun was sold in the Exquisite Eye: Chinese Paintings Online including the Collection of Sun Ah Book Center auction at Christies in December 2021. It changed hands for a price of HKD 18,750.00 (€ 2,123.83) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of HKD 10,000.00 – 20,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Jian Jinglun - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Calligraphy In Caoshu, which sold at auction in October 2013 for HKD 62,500.00 (€ 5,930.93).

Die Arbeit Five-character Calligraphic Couplet in Oracle Bone Script von Jian Jinglun wurde im Dezember 2021 in der Auktion Exquisite Eye: Chinese Paintings Online including the Collection of Sun Ah Book Center bei Christies versteigert. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von HKD 18.750,00 (€ 2.123,83) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von HKD 10.000,00 – 20.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Jian Jinglun mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Calligraphy In Caoshu beobachtet, die im Oktober 2013 für HKD 62.500,00 (€ 5.930,93) versteigert wurde.
