In December 2017 Artcurial in Paris held the auction Paris#Marrakech, which included the work Composition - 1960 by Jilali Gharbaoui. The »bidding war« ended at EUR 22,750.00 52% above the upper estimate. Admittedly, works by Jilali Gharbaoui have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Composition in November this year with an auction result of GBP 88,200.00 (€ 102,204.62).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 52 % übertroffen
Im Dezember 2017 führte Artcurial in Paris die Auktion Paris#Marrakech durch, in der auch die Arbeit Composition - 1960 von Jilali Gharbaoui zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von EUR 22.750,00 und damit 52% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Jilali Gharbaoui auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Composition im November diesen Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 88.200,00 (€ 102.204,62).
