Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Marina. Veleros En El Mar by Joaquín Sorolla y Bastida was auctioned at Christies in London in December 2014. The price achieved of GBP 47,500.00 (€ 61,148.25) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 40,000.00 – 60,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Joaquín Sorolla y Bastida achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Spanish pescadores Valencianos (Valencian Fishermen) in November 2012 with an auction result of GBP 3,737,250.00 (€ 4,603,912.82).

Die Arbeit Marina. Veleros En El Mar von Joaquín Sorolla y Bastida kam im Dezember 2014 bei Christies in London zur Auktion. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 47.500,00 (€ 61.148,25) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 40.000,00 – 60.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Joaquín Sorolla y Bastida erzielen.
