Auction result well in line with expectations

The price achieved of EUR 1,500.00 was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as EUR 1,200.00 – 1,800.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Johan Antonie de Jonge - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work On the beach, which sold at auction in May 2011 for EUR 6,000.00.
