Auction result well in line with expectations
The work The château of Pupetière by Johan Barthold Jongkind was sold in the Old Master and British Drawings and Watercolours including a Fine Collection of Old Master Prints auction at Christies in London in July 2021. The price achieved of GBP 10,000.00 (€ 11,727.07) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 8,000.00 – 12,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Johan Barthold Jongkind achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Sailing on a sunny day in April 2007 with an auction result of EUR 144,000.00.
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit The château of Pupetière von Johan Barthold Jongkind wurde im Juli 2021 in der Auktion Old Master and British Drawings and Watercolours including a Fine Collection of Old Master Prints bei Christies in London versteigert.
