The work A river landscape with figures by a bridge and a house struck by lightening beyond by Johann Christian Vollerdt was auctioned at Christies in London in December 2006. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 8,000.00 – 12,000.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 8,400.00 (€ 12,466.65) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Johann Christian Vollerdt - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work A River Landscape With Figures On The Bank And Sheep Grazing; A River Landscape With Fishermen Dredging A Weir, which sold at auction in December 2011 for GBP 37,250.00 (€ 44,612.14).

Die Arbeit A river landscape with figures by a bridge and a house struck by lightening beyond von Johann Christian Vollerdt kam im Dezember 2006 bei Christies in London zur Auktion. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von GBP 8.000,00 – 12.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von GBP 8.400,00 (€ 12.466,65) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen.
