In July 2005 Christies in London held the auction Important Old Master Pictures, which included the work A Classical wooded landscape with the Judgement of Paris by Johannes Glauber. The price achieved of GBP 20,400.00 (€ 29,590.01) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 15,000.00 – 25,000.00. Even if this result could not surprise positively, A Classical wooded landscape with the Judgement of Paris is the most expensive artwork by Johannes Glauber that we have observed at auctions so far.
