Auction result well in line with expectations
In September 2005 Christies in London held the auction Old Master Pictures, which included the work A river landscape with a drover and his cattle, a horse and wagon and other figures on a track by Johannes Janson. The price achieved of GBP 1,440.00 (€ 2,113.31) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 1,200.00 – 1,600.00. Admittedly, works by Johannes Janson have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work River Landscape With Drawbridge; River Landscape With Windmill in January 2008 with an auction result of USD 28,000.00 (€ 18,866.65).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im September 2005 führte Christies in London die Auktion Old Master Pictures durch, in der auch die Arbeit A river landscape with a drover and his cattle, a horse and wagon and other figures on a track von Johannes Janson zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 1.440,00 (€ 2.113,31) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 1.200,00 – 1.600,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Johannes Janson auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit River Landscape With Drawbridge; River Landscape With Windmill im Januar 2008 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 28.000,00 (€ 18.866,65).
