This price was achieved in the auction Sporting Art, Wildlife & Dogs at Christies in London and exceeded the previously set upper estimate of GBP 800.00 many times over. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by John Arnold Wheeler achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work A Mahogany Painted Canvas Four-Panel Screen in June 2001 with an auction result of USD 42,300.00 (€ 49,917.39).
