In the Sporting and Wildlife Art auction, the work Down The Road; And Over The Wall sold for GBP 5,250.00 (€ 6,127.69) - well above the upper estimate of GBP 3,000.00. Admittedly, works by John Arnold Wheeler have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work A Mahogany Painted Canvas Four-Panel Screen in June 2001 with an auction result of USD 42,300.00 (€ 49,917.39).
