Auction result well in line with expectations
In November 2002 Christies in London held the auction BRITISH PICTURES 1500-1850, which included the work A wooded landscape with cottages and a figure resting by a stream by John Berney Ladbrooke. The price achieved of GBP 8,365.00 (€ 13,099.16) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 7,000.00 – 10,000.00. Admittedly, works by John Berney Ladbrooke have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work The Water Frolic On The River Bure At Wroxham, Norfolk in June 2008 with an auction result of GBP 52,850.00 (€ 66,804.17).

Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 8.365,00 (€ 13.099,16) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 7.000,00 – 10.000,00 angegeben worden.
