Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
The work The Meter Maid by John Bratby was auctioned at Bonhams in London in July 2021. Here, the upper estimate of GBP 3,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for GBP 3,187.50 (€ 3,738.00). Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by John Bratby achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Still Life With Oranges in June 2017 with an auction result of GBP 35,000.00 (€ 39,858.47).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Die Arbeit The Meter Maid von John Bratby kam im Juli 2021 bei Bonhams in London zur Auktion. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von GBP 3.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für GBP 3.187,50 (€ 3.738,00) einen neuen Besitzer. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von John Bratby erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Still Life With Oranges im Juni 2017 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 35.000,00 (€ 39.858,47).
