In June 2010 a collector was able to acquire the work Jerbourg Head, Guernsey by John Brett for GBP 25,000.00 (€ 30,402.33). This price was achieved in the auction The Nicolette Wernick Collection British Watercolours and Paintings (1800-1950) at Christies in London and was even below the estimate range of GBP 30,000.00 – 50,000.00 set by the auction house. Admittedly, works by John Brett have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Pearly Summer in February 2003 with an auction result of GBP 144,150.00 (€ 210,454.45).
