Yeats Reading In The Garden, Bedford Park sold for GBP 30,000.00 (€ 34,035.38) - well above the upper estimate of GBP 12,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by John Butler Yeats - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Self Portrait, New York, which sold at auction in September 2017 for GBP 87,500.00 (€ 99,269.87).
