Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Barbara, London, c. 1918 by John Duncan Fergusson was sold in the Scottish Art auction at Bonhams in May this year. It changed hands for a price of GBP 1,912.50 (€ 2,225.21) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of GBP 1,500.00 – 2,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by John Duncan Fergusson achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Submarines and Camouflaged Battleship in March this year with an auction result of GBP 1,074,000.00 (€ 1,221,882.45).
