The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 1,500.00 – 2,000.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 1,527.50 (€ 2,537.48) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Even if this result could not surprise positively, On The Scent; And Gone To Ground is the most expensive artwork by John Edmond Mace that we have observed at auctions so far.
