Auction result misses estimated price range
In May last year a collector was able to acquire the work Grapes and Apples by a Mossy Bank by John Sherrin for GBP 252.00 (€ 296.45). This price was achieved in the auction STYLE London: Furniture, Clocks, Silver, Ceramics & Works of Art at Sothebys in London and was even below the estimate range of GBP 300.00 – 400.00 set by the auction house. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by John Sherrin achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Still Life with primroses, a violet and a birds nest on a mossy bank in March 2002 with an auction result of GBP 3,995.00 (€ 6,530.77).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im Mai letzten Jahres konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit Grapes and Apples by a Mossy Bank von John Sherrin für GBP 252,00 (€ 296,45) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion STYLE London: Furniture, Clocks, Silver, Ceramics & Works of Art bei Sothebys in London erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 300,00 – 400,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von John Sherrin erzielen.
