In the Christie's Interiors auction, the work Disembarking at Bombay sold for GBP 2,125.00 (€ 2,428.18) - well above the upper estimate of GBP 1,200.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by John Strickland Goodall - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Britishthe Tennis Party; Tennis On A Summer'S Afternoon, which sold at auction in October 2008 for GBP 5,625.00 (€ 7,169.86).
