Auction result well in line with expectations
In October 2008 Christies in Madrid held the auction Spanish Art at the Westin Palace Hotel, which included the work Bodegón by Jorge Castillo. The price achieved of EUR 6,250.00 was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as EUR 5,000.00 – 7,000.00. Admittedly, works by Jorge Castillo have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Wall Street I in October 2007 with an auction result of EUR 60,250.00.
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Oktober 2008 führte Christies in Madrid die Auktion Spanish Art at the Westin Palace Hotel durch, in der auch die Arbeit Bodegón von Jorge Castillo zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von EUR 6.250,00 lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit EUR 5.000,00 – 7.000,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Jorge Castillo auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Wall Street I im Oktober 2007 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 60.250,00.
