In the The House Sale auction, the work Irises, Tulips, Peonies and other Flowers with a Bird's Nest changed hands for USD 5,377.50 (€ 5,456.07) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of USD 6,000.00 – 8,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Josef Holstayn - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work German Blumenstillleben Mit Tulpen, Rosen Und Früchten (Still Life With Tulips, Roses And Fruit), which sold at auction in November 2009 for GBP 17,500.00 (€ 19,151.49).
