Auction result well in line with expectations
In November 2008 Sothebys in London held the auction A GREAT BRITISH COLLECTION: The pictures collected by Sir David and Lady Scott, sold to benefit the Finnis Scott Foundation, which included the work On The Beach by Joseph Crawhall. The price achieved of GBP 2,375.00 (€ 2,871.55) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 2,000.00 – 3,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Joseph Crawhall achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work A Mallard Rising in November 2021 with an auction result of GBP 100,800.00 (€ 118,348.68).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im November 2008 führte Sothebys in London die Auktion A GREAT BRITISH COLLECTION: The pictures collected by Sir David and Lady Scott, sold to benefit the Finnis Scott Foundation durch, in der auch die Arbeit On The Beach von Joseph Crawhall zur Versteigerung kam.
