This price was achieved in the auction British and European Art at Bonhams in London and exceeded the previously set upper estimate of GBP 2,000.00 many times over. Admittedly, works by Joseph Edward Southall have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work The Rose Bowl in July 2017 with an auction result of GBP 43,750.00 (€ 48,818.28).
