In November 2004 Christies in London held the auction 19th Century European Art Including Spanish Pictures, which included the work The Charming Performance by Charles-Joseph-Frédéric Soulacroix. The »bidding war« ended at GBP 50,190.00 (€ 72,198.04), 67% above the upper estimate. Admittedly, works by Charles-Joseph-Frédéric Soulacroix have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Three for tea in April 2000 with an auction result of GBP 201,750.00 (€ 345,387.83).

Im November 2004 führte Christies in London die Auktion 19th Century European Art Including Spanish Pictures durch, in der auch die Arbeit The Charming Performance von Charles-Joseph-Frédéric Soulacroix zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von GBP 50.190,00 (€ 72.198,04) und damit 67% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Charles-Joseph-Frédéric Soulacroix auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Three for tea im April 2000 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 201.750,00 (€ 345.387,83).
