Auction result well in line with expectations
In April 2004 Christies in London held the auction British and Continental Pictures, which included the work A Mother'S Petition by Joseph Haier. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 500.00 – 700.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 537.75 (€ 483.13) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Admittedly, works by Joseph Haier have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work An elegant patron and other figures in a church interior in November 2005 with an auction result of USD 4,800.00 (€ 4,071.25).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im April 2004 führte Christies in London die Auktion British and Continental Pictures durch, in der auch die Arbeit A Mother'S Petition von Joseph Haier zur Versteigerung kam. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von GBP 500,00 – 700,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von GBP 537,75 (€ 483,13) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Joseph Haier auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit An elegant patron and other figures in a church interior im November 2005 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 4.800,00 (€ 4.071,25).
