In November 2015 Sothebys in London held the auction Evening Sale, which included the work Portrait Of Charlotte Baronin Von Oven (1809 - 1891) by Joseph Karl Stieler. The result of GBP 20,000.00 (€ 28,487.03) was exactly at the lower end of the estimate range of GBP 20,000.00 – 30,000.00. Admittedly, works by Joseph Karl Stieler have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Bildnis von Auguste Strobl in May 2019 with an auction result of EUR 161,200.00.

Im November 2015 führte Sothebys in London die Auktion Evening Sale durch, in der auch die Arbeit Portrait Of Charlotte Baronin Von Oven (1809 - 1891) von Joseph Karl Stieler zur Versteigerung kam. Das dabei erzielte Ergebnis von GBP 20.000,00 (€ 28.487,03) entsprach exakt dem unteren Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 20.000,00 – 30.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Joseph Karl Stieler auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Bildnis von Auguste Strobl im Mai 2019 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 161.200,00.
