Auction result well in line with expectations
In October last year Bonhams in Edinburgh held the auction Scottish Art, which included the work Summer, near Ballantrae by Joseph Morris Henderson. The price achieved of GBP 701.25 (€ 816.95) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 600.00 – 800.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Joseph Morris Henderson achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Looking out to sea in October 2006 with an auction result of GBP 10,800.00 (€ 16,136.16).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Oktober letzten Jahres führte Bonhams in Edinburgh die Auktion Scottish Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Summer, near Ballantrae von Joseph Morris Henderson zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 701,25 (€ 816,95) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 600,00 – 800,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Joseph Morris Henderson erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Looking out to sea im Oktober 2006 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 10.800,00 (€ 16.136,16).
