Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Jour de repos: the card players by Jozef Israëls was auctioned at Christies in Amsterdam in June 2017. The price achieved of EUR 43,750.00 was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as EUR 30,000.00 – 50,000.00. Admittedly, works by Jozef Israëls have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Dutch dreams (Dolce Far Niente) in May 2013 with an auction result of USD 293,000.00 (€ 225,592.85).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Jour de repos: the card players von Jozef Israëls kam im Juni 2017 bei Christies in Amsterdam zur Auktion. Der dabei erzielte Preis von EUR 43.750,00 lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit EUR 30.000,00 – 50.000,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Jozef Israëls auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Dutch dreams (Dolce Far Niente) im Mai 2013 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 293.000,00 (€ 225.592,85).
