A top price for Juan de la Corte
In April 2016 Sothebys in London held the auction Old Masters, which included the work Achilles Confronting Hector Outside Troy by Juan de la Corte. The »bidding war« ended at GBP 50,000.00 (€ 63,914.87), 25% above the upper estimate. With this result, Achilles Confronting Hector Outside Troy is even the most expensive work of art by Juan de la Corte that we have observed at auctions so far.
