Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
In November 2017 Sothebys in New York held the auction European Art, which included the work Le Petit Ramoneur (Damvillers) by Jules Bastien-Lepage. The »bidding war« ended at USD 212,500.00 (€ 178,601.45), 18% above the upper estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Jules Bastien-Lepage achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Portrait De Sarah Bernhardt in October last year with an auction result of USD 2,280,000.00 (€ 2,295,147.98).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Im November 2017 führte Sothebys in New York die Auktion European Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Le Petit Ramoneur (Damvillers) von Jules Bastien-Lepage zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von USD 212.500,00 (€ 178.601,45) und damit 18% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Jules Bastien-Lepage erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Portrait De Sarah Bernhardt im Oktober letzten Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 2.280.000,00 (€ 2.295.147,98).
