In December 2014 Christies in London held the auction Old Master and British Drawings and Watercolours, which included the work View Of The Castle Of Villeneuve-Loubet, Near Cagnes-Sur-Mer by Jules Didier. The »bidding war« ended at GBP 2,500.00 (€ 3,218.33), 67% above the upper estimate. Admittedly, works by Jules Didier have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Départ Pour La Chasse in January 2016 with an auction result of USD 18,750.00 (€ 17,309.82).

Im Dezember 2014 führte Christies in London die Auktion Old Master and British Drawings and Watercolours durch, in der auch die Arbeit View Of The Castle Of Villeneuve-Loubet, Near Cagnes-Sur-Mer von Jules Didier zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von GBP 2.500,00 (€ 3.218,33) und damit 67% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Jules Didier auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Départ Pour La Chasse im Januar 2016 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 18.750,00 (€ 17.309,82).
