Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
In July 2006 Christies in London held the auction British and Continental Pictures, which included the work Notre Dame au coucher du soleil by Jules Ernest Renoux. Here, the upper estimate of GBP 900.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for GBP 1,020.00 (€ 1,493.16). However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Jules Ernest Renoux - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Avenue des Champs Elysées et Le Petit Palais, which sold at auction in December 2004 for GBP 2,151.00 (€ 3,044.26).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Im Juli 2006 führte Christies in London die Auktion British and Continental Pictures durch, in der auch die Arbeit Notre Dame au coucher du soleil von Jules Ernest Renoux zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von GBP 900,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für GBP 1.020,00 (€ 1.493,16) einen neuen Besitzer. Für andere Arbeiten von Jules Ernest Renoux mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Avenue des Champs Elysées et Le Petit Palais beobachtet, die im Dezember 2004 für GBP 2.151,00 (€ 3.044,26) versteigert wurde.
