Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
In August 2021 Bonhams in Los Angeles held the auction California Art, which included the work Kilauea Volcano by Jules Tavernier. Here, the upper estimate of USD 5,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for USD 5,737.50 (€ 4,862.29). Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Jules Tavernier achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Figure on a Rock Ledge with an Expansive Landscape Beyond in April this year with an auction result of USD 151,575.00 (€ 137,296.20).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Im August 2021 führte Bonhams in Los Angeles die Auktion California Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Kilauea Volcano von Jules Tavernier zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von USD 5.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für USD 5.737,50 (€ 4.862,29) einen neuen Besitzer. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Jules Tavernier erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Figure on a Rock Ledge with an Expansive Landscape Beyond im April diesen Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 151.575,00 (€ 137.296,20).
