In April 2015 Christies in New York held the auction 19th Century European Art, which included the work The Reapers by Julien Dupré. The »bidding war« ended at USD 197,000.00 (€ 176,491.67), 64% above the upper estimate. Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by Julien Dupré; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot Au retour de la moisson sold at auction in April 2003 with the realized price of USD 265,100.00 (€ 215,879.48).

Im April 2015 führte Christies in New York die Auktion 19th Century European Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit The Reapers von Julien Dupré zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von USD 197.000,00 (€ 176.491,67) und damit 64% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Trotz des guten Ergebnisses ist dies nicht der höchste Zuschlag für ein Kunstwerk von Julien Dupré; den erzielte unter den von uns beobachteten Auktionen die Arbeit Au retour de la moisson im April 2003 mit dem Hammerpreis von USD 265.100,00 (€ 215.879,48).
