Auction result well in line with expectations
The work The Holy Family with Infant Saint John the Baptist by Jürgen Ovens was auctioned at Christies in London in July 2002. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 7,000.00 – 10,000.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 7,637.50 (€ 12,182.11) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Admittedly, works by Jürgen Ovens have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work An Elegant Family Portrait, Traditionally Identified As Colonel John Hutchinson (1616-1664) And His Family in December 2012 with an auction result of GBP 97,250.00 (€ 119,936.26).

Die Arbeit The Holy Family with Infant Saint John the Baptist von Jürgen Ovens kam im Juli 2002 bei Christies in London zur Auktion. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von GBP 7.000,00 – 10.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von GBP 7.637,50 (€ 12.182,11) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen.
